Bennett and Beeton were Victorious! in Dorchester

Leighton Bennett and James Beeton won JDC Tour Events 3 and 4 on Saturday as youngsters battled it out at the George Albert Hotel in Dorchester.


Bennett, the reigning BDO World Youth Champ and a winner already on the JDC tour this year, stormed his way through to the final dropping just one leg in wins over Taylor Smoldon, Tavis Dudeney, Jason Meek, Charlie Voorhees and Buster Turner. In the final, he took on Brad Phillips and Bennett started off with a 19 darter before Phillips responded with a 20-dart leg. Before, Bennett blew him away winning the final 4 legs in 59 darts which included a 177 and a 102-checkout finishing the match with an average of 91!


In Event Four, James Beeton won the event having lost out early in Event 3. He reached the final but not comfortably dropping 7 legs in 5 matches in wins over Connor Pickett, Taylor Smoldon, Coby Jones-swanson, Nathan Care and Keelan Kay. In the final against Jack Male, it was a comfortable win despite averaging lower than his opponent. He won the first 4 legs in 71 darts which included a maximum and a 130 checkout before Male picked up his first and only leg of the match with a 15 darter and 100 checkout. Beeton won the final leg of the match with a 15 darter to take the title to end an entertaining day in Dorchester.


The JDC Tour continues on March 16th from Rileys in Solihull with Events 5-6 as the road to Ally Pally continues.
