Dimitri denies Barney a double European Tour qualification in Barnsley

Dimitri Van den Bergh denied Raymond Van Barneveld a double European Tour Qualification on Friday as Jeffrey De Zwaan secured a double Qualification as European Tour-Card Holders battled it out to take part in the 5th and 6th events of the year.

Having lost in his first match in the previous qualifier, Van den Bergh came through 3 games to qualify for the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen with wins over Benito Van de Pas, Gabriel Clemens and of course the 5 times world champion Raymond Van Barneveld 6-4 finishing a 138 checkout to seal the victory. Van Barneveld came through the 1st qualifier of the night with impressive wins over Danny Noppert and Madars Razma in the decider with a 105.3 average and qualifying for 3 out of 6 European Tour events so far this year.

Joining the great Dutchman at the Austrian Darts Open was 2-time European Tour winner Kim Huybrechts, 2018 World Matchplay Semi Finalist Jeffrey De Zwaan, Darius Labanauskas, Tytus Kanik and Dirk Van Duijvenbode.

Joining Dimitri Van den Bergh at the European Darts Grand Prix was Jeffrey De Zwaan who secured a double qualification, Vincent Van der Voort, Krzysztof Ratajski, Madars Razma and youngster Niels Zonneveld.
