Dudbridge and Brown amongst confirmed Premier League of Darts lineup in Bristol

Mark Dudbridge and Steve Brown have been confirmed as participants for the upcoming Bench Kitchens Premier League of Darts at Bar501 in Bristol.

16 of the South West of England’s elite darting talents will partake in a 15-week long league phase, with the top and bottom eight breaking away to form the Premier League and the Championship.

Both leagues will then compete every Thursday for seven weeks at the newly-opened Bar501 in Kingswood, Bristol.

The action will be streamed via Facebook Live after the massive success of the inaugural edition earlier this year – which saw 100,000 views per month as John Brown reigned victorious.

Current PDC tour card holder, Mark Dudbridge, leads the field with reigning champion, John Brown, being joined by his father Steve in the prestigious event.

Swindon-based former PDC World Championship qualifier, Johnny Haines, will make his Bar501 Premier League of Darts debut, as will Cinderford’s Matt Jackson and former Polish Open quarter-finalist, Dave Wicks.

Weston-Super-Mare’s Mike Norton, who pushed Raymond van Barneveld to the limit at the UK Open last year, will return to the Bar501 stage, while Wayne Thomas, George Gardner, Paul Smith, Garry Harding and Wayne Davies also feature once again.

The aforementioned 12 throwers will be joined by four qualifiers, with qualifying events taking place every Wednesday at Bar501 in Staple Hill, Bristol for the next four weeks.

The winners of both the Premier League and Championship will take on Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld as part of the Modus Icons of Darts Tour event at Action Indoor Sports Centre in May.
