Killarney Darts Festival Draw: Hamilton and World Master O’Shea among those involved

Andy Hamilton will be seeded number one this weekend as the Killarney Darts Festival takes place in Ireland.

The Irish Open and High Performance Roofing Open both take place across the weekend in Killarney, with the former being a Category A+ event and the latter being a Category C staging.

Hamilton, a former PDC World Championship finalist, will face either Martin Larkin or Poland’s Piotr Kozera in the Irish Open second round on Saturday.

World Masters champion John O’Shea will take on either Thomas Smith or Andrew Leigh, while he could potentially meet France’s Thibault Tricole in the fifth round.

Kevin Painter, Tony O’Shea, Dean Winstanley and Kyle McKinstry will also be heading to Ireland this weekend, as well as World Masters quarter-finalists, Neil Duff and Mike Warburton.

Ladies number one seed, Fallon Sherrock, will meet either Ann-Marie Flood or Ann Burke in round two, while the former World Championship finalist is joined by the likes of Anastasia Dobromyslova, Lorraine Winstanley and Aileen de Graaf in the ladies field.

Despite the slightly deflated playing field thanks to the Grand Slam of Darts, it will be a terrific weekend in Killarney and one that could prove critical in terms of rankings points.
