Rotterdam to host Premier League finals in September as rescheduled dates are confirmed
Following the postponement of March’s Unibet Premier League double-header in Rotterdam, rescheduled dates have now been confirmed with the Ahoy set to host the Finals Night in September.
Rotterdam’s popular Premier League nights were originally scheduled for March 25-26, though, were postponed following regulations put in place from the Dutch government to combat the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The announcement to postpone the Dutch double-header came following the postponement of three European Tour events at the hands of the pandemic.
In a swift overturn from the Professional Darts Corporation, it was confirmed that the revised dates were September 9-10, with Rotterdam hosting the penultimate and final evenings of 2020 Premier League darts.
As of result of this unavoidable amendment to the campaign, Belfast will host Night Eight, while Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena will host the highly-anticipated Judgment Night on Thursday, April 9.
However, further changes are expected following the UK government’s decision to ban mass gatherings from next week.
It is also currently unclear as to how the Premier League’s Challengers will play out. Jeffrey de Zwaan and Jermaine Wattimena were expecting to take to the Rotterdam stage later in March.
