Darts Planet TV Magazine - Issue 18

£2.50

Hi there, and welcome to issue 18 of DPTV magazine.

It’s been a return to action for the PDC, with the excellent Summer Series preceding the BetFred World Matchplay which was, although not in Blackpool and also without fans, a great success for the sport. Sky Sports’ production of the event was top class and gave the viewer the feel as if there were a crowd and atmosphere to go along with the excellent entertainment on the oche.

→  Sneak Peek

Our congratulations go to the newly crowned Champion, Dimitri Van den Bergh, who has fulfilled his potential after a glittering youth and Development Tour career that garnered two World titles back to back in 2017 and 2018. Dimi was superb all week in Milton Keynes and fully deserved the Phil Taylor trophy in what was a dominant win over Gary Anderson. Van den Bergh has surely won the first of what should be many TV titles.

The Ladies’ game has also got the shot in the arm and the exposure it deserves with its own mini Tour to take place in November in Cannock, and it’s brilliant to see. There should be some great darts thrown throughout the two days where two coveted World Championship spots are on offer.

It’s great to see the sport back and thriving as ever.
