The admired PDC Asian Tour expands for 2020

A matter of weeks prior to the likes of Seigo Asada, Paul Lim and Mikuru Suzuki representing the Asian continent at the William Hill World Darts Championship, it has been the confirmed that the PDC Asian Tour will once again expand as of next year.

After increasing from five to six weekends after its inaugural year, an additional weekend of action, consisting of two $10,000usd events, will be added to the ever-growing calendar for its third year.

Since its establishment in December 2017, the PDC Asian Tour has gone from strength to strength, with hundreds of Asian players flocking inside various venues across the continent.

Dates and venues for five of the seven weekends have been confirmed, with proceedings getting underway on February 29 at the PDK Darts Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.

Taipei and Kobe also join Seoul in being ever-present hosts, while the Philippine island of Leyte will remain a venue after the success this current year.

Mainland China will host a double-header for the first time as the Nanchang Middle School Stadium is added to the calendar.

Details for the additional weekends towards the backend of the year are yet to be confirmed, though, it is suggested that India could well make an Asian Tour debut.

Once again, the top four players on the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit will earn their places at the William Hill World Darts Championship, while following Event Eight, the top two from each respective country will take to the World Cup of Darts stage in Hamburg.
