Van den Bergh seals European Tour qualification double

Raymond van Barneveld and Dimitri van den Bergh were among the European throwers to seal qualification for upcoming European Tour events held next month.

Two-time World Youth Champion, van den Bergh, was the only player to clinch a spot at both the European Darts Open and German Darts Championship. ‘The Dream Maker’ beat Jan Dekker 6-3 to qualify for the first European Tour event of the year, before denying Krzysztof Ratajski in a deciding leg to earn his place at the second.

Kim Huybretchs, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Krzysztof Ratajski, Raymond van Barneveld and Vincent van der Voort will join Belgium’s van den Bergh in Leverkusen, while Tytus Kanik, Mario Robbe, Ron Meulenkamp, Gabriel Clemens and Madars Razma will jet off to Hildesheim.

The European Darts Open will be held in Leverkusen from March 22-24, while the German Darts Championship will take place from March 29-31 in Hildesheim.
